Half scale witch

For my new project, the Market Cross,
it seemed handy to make a little doll
so I could check the scale!
Because...
(Sssssssh, don't tell him. He might get traumatized )
E-beertje is actually a bit too small and too fat for half scale
This doll didn't have to be too complicated..
just a few pipe cleaners and a bead as a head would be sufficient!
But then I found a half scale head in my dollcomponentsbox,
I made it a few years ago with a mold made by Ria Odijk.
That was even better than a bead!!!!
So I made a little body...put the head on.....
hey...there's some grey hair in there as well....
hmmm, those unpainted eyes look a bit scary.....
let's take out the paint...
And all of a sudden....
there she was.....

And I really liked her...
so out came the polymer clay...
hands and shoes were made ......
rummaging through my fabric stash....
with a lot of swears and grumbling
a dress was made and voilà.....
one little miniature witch....
She's 7 cm tall...
her hair is wild on purpose....
she will get a new wand...
and she needs a hat!!!
But I think she's really cool
Now all I have to do
is introduce her to E-beertje
Hugs, Margriet

Some years ago there was a TV-Show here in Germany, called "The Swan". In this shows you saw how women got strong beauty operations and a professional styling and make up. That took several weeks and only at the end they were allowed to look in a mirror for the first time. And yeah, these women had the same expression in their eyes like your gorgeous witch! :-))) Can´t believe how small she is!!! Great job. Hugs, Sandra

It sounds so easy when you're writing about it - a little bit of this and a little bit of that... and you're talking about a very gorgeous witch you've made! But although we really like her, it breaks our heart for our little friend E-beertje, poor buddy - give him a big hug from us and many mugs full of honey milk. And really, he's not too fat - he's perfect for a little bear!!! E-beertje, do you hear us - we love you just the way you are!!! ;O)

Greetings
Flutterby + Birgit

How is it that you can just make such a great doll and still make it sound so easy? 1/2 scale and her features are perfectly formed!

I don't think you mean to say E-beertje is shhhhhhh... too small and fat, you mean she is petite and voluptuous ie she is too sexy for half scale.

Thank you ladies :-) I wouldn't say it was easy hahaha I was glad when I was finished!!

Sans...I don't think voluptuous is the right word....E-beertje is a male bear and as gay as can be (please don't ask...long story LOL)

What a Wonderful Witch! And in Half scale!!! She is so "good looking" for a witch! Lol! I Love her clothes too..... beautiful fabrics!
And I MUST add that E-bertje appears to be Properly Short and Stout as a Bear should be!

Ze is een mooi heksje geworden, maar ik denk wel dat E-beertje een beetje bang voor haar zal zijn...
