M-huis - Brigitte

Ik heb weer een popje aangekleed!
I dressed another doll!

Today there was a knock on the door of the M-house again!

Oscar went to open the door and his mouth fell almost open
when he saw who was standing there.
Who was this angel???

"Ik ben Brigitte", zei het blonde meisje.
"I'm Brigitte", said the fair haired girl.

"Mijn lieve nicht Brigitte", riep Mairead,
terwijl ze haar in haar armen sloot,
wat doe jij nou hier?"
"My dear cousin Brigitte", said Mairead,
while she closed her arms around her,
"What are you doing here?"

"Ik wou vragen of ik hier een tijdje mag blijven,
vindt u dat goed oom Henry?"
"Natuurlijk mag je blijven" , zei Henry,
"net zo lang als je wilt!"

"I wanted to ask you if I could stay here for a while,
if that's okay with you uncle Henry?"
"Ofcourse you can stay", said Henry,
"as long as you want!

Mairead and Brigitte are very good friends,
so Birgitte will be staying with Mairead in her room!

M-huis - Henry

Grote opwinding in het M-huis!!!
Papa Henry is onverwacht thuis gekomen

Excitement in the M-house!!!
Daddy Henry is home after a long and adventurous
journey through the jungle.

Oscar is the first one to see him.
Henry is very satisfied with the house.
"You worked hard, my boy!

Mairead rushes down when she hears her father's voice.
She's so happy he's home again, safe and sound!

Henry retreats to his room soon,
first a little nap and then they can catch up!

(I gave Henry clothes and hair and I painted his face.)

Legolas

Ieks, het is gewoon een beetje eng....
Ik ben allemaal dingen aan het afmaken!!!!
En dat doe ik eigenlijk nooit ;-)
It's a little bit scary.....I'm finishing projects!!!!
And I hardly ever finish projects ;-)

For years I had a kit for Legolas in my stash
and I already started making him,
but I never really finished him!
Until today.....suddenly I saw the light and voilà!

Het is een pakketje van Helena Reijen.
It's a kit by Helena Reijnen.

I don't think the doll itself looks very much like Legolas,
so I might call him Duplolas,
the big brother of Legolas ;-)

At the moment he's walking around at the market at the tudor house
and he seems to feel at home there!

Half scale witch

For my new project, the Market Cross,
it seemed handy to make a little doll
so I could check the scale!
Because...
(Sssssssh, don't tell him. He might get traumatized )
E-beertje is actually a bit too small and too fat for half scale
This doll didn't have to be too complicated..
just a few pipe cleaners and a bead as a head would be sufficient!
But then I found a half scale head in my dollcomponentsbox,
I made it a few years ago with a mold made by Ria Odijk.
That was even better than a bead!!!!
So I made a little body...put the head on.....
hey...there's some grey hair in there as well....
hmmm, those unpainted eyes look a bit scary.....
let's take out the paint...
And all of a sudden....
there she was.....

And I really liked her...
so out came the polymer clay...
hands and shoes were made ......
rummaging through my fabric stash....
with a lot of swears and grumbling
a dress was made and voilà.....
one little miniature witch....
She's 7 cm tall...
her hair is wild on purpose....
she will get a new wand...
and she needs a hat!!!
But I think she's really cool
Now all I have to do
is introduce her to E-beertje

Tulip and more

I've made some more wonderful purchases from Nicky

A beautiful little witch, called Tulip

I fell in love with the nice colours of her clothes...
Spring is coming

She immediately made friends with Ursula Underhill,
another doll by Nicky!
Ursula is hoping Tulip will be able to help her with her studying.

And these two just begged if they might come too...
Fleety the dragon and Mayhem the gremlin.
Aren't they cute???

But that was not all I found in the package....
Nicky really spoiled me with lots of presents.
The black dragon head was a bit difficult to photograph,
but believe me....he's beautiful!
Thank you so much Nicky!!!

A book about Hector and Agathe

Look what I found in my mailbox today...

A beautiful miniature book
with the story of Hector and Agathe.
Made by my friend Edith

Hector is so happy with it...
He immediately looked for a place
where he could read the book quietly!
(yes..he didn't have to go back in the pillory...yet!!
I'm not always a bad person )

By the way....
Hector found a very unusual place to keep his book!!

On my Dutch blog I commented that this way he didn't have place for a heart!
Well...I shouldn't have said that
It looks like if my creations and I are telepathic connected..
every time I say something about them,
they know immediately!!!

so when I mentioned a heart for Hector..
just a few minutes later there he was!!!
Saying that he would keep the book somewhere else
and there was enough room for a heart!!!
He wanted a big one!

Well....
Hector now has a heart!

I don't really mind
as long as he doesn't start nagging me
about a stomach, liver, intestines etc.

Oops...

Hector and Agathe

Today was a very special day for Hector!!!

Some time ago, Hector saw a beautiful woman on the blog of Sjoukje.
Her name is Agathe and Hector fell in love immediately!!
When Hector heard I would be visiting Sjoukje today,
he came up with a plan!!!

During Christmas,
he really put an effort in singing christmas carols all day long
and after a while he earned quite some money!
The pillory he's in, stands before the tudor house
and the lady of the house came outside to listen to Hector sing.
I'm not sure what he said to her,
but he must have found the right words,
because before I knew what happened,
she released him from the pillory...

I was a bit curious what would happen,
so I just looked and did nothing
and soon I saw the wizard's wife
take Hector with her inside her house.

I heard her say
"let's see if my husband has anything suitable in his closet!"

I saw them going upstairs to the bedroom
and after a while I saw this....
Wow....what a metamorphosis

I also heard the wizard's wife say
that women love flowers and chocolate
and that he should go to the market
to see what he could get for his money!
Hector promised her to come back later
and show her what he had bought!
After some more advice,
the two of them came to me
and asked if Hector could come with me to Sjoukje!
How can you say no to a skeleton so in love???
I sure couldn't

So today, Hector accompanied me and my daughter Jasmijn
to visit Sjoukje and Agathe!

We didn't tell Sjoukje and Agathe anything,
so Agathe was still in the bathtub when we arrived!
But when she heard Hector was there to meet her,
she immediately put a towel on
and rushed over to meet him.

Hector really paid good attention to what he was told
and as a real gentleman he wooed her
with his charm and gifts!
The photos say it all....

What do you think....
did he win her heart????
I think he did

Sjoukje and Rob,
thank you for a wonderful day!
Hector would love to come back soon

Hugs, Margriet
